Man, if I had a dime for every interstellar/futuristic novel where the MC basically revives the drab food culture, I’d probably have a full wallet. And I’d have an even fatter wallet if the other types of “culture” (games, novels, dramas etc) that were lost were also included. Anyway, this is one of the incredibly overused plots, but I still read this kind of story every time I see one as I’m a sucker who doesn’t learn.
MC, ML and their relationship
Essentially, MC is a chef with a system and also a healer who is highly compatible with ML. ML is the fleet admiral (not sure if it’s a division, but definitely high ranking and something like that). They’re engaged, but before MC’s “awakening” of his past life, he was interfering with some other couple’s relationship. That meant he avoids ML for a bit, but they meet again and MC doesn’t recognise ML. This meant that ML did just think that MC might’ve been replaced and was a spy.
Initially in their relationship, MC kinda projects the his admiration of soldiers defending the country on ML and ML is obviously not-so-trusting him. As their relationship progresses, they slowly support each other. MC gains a very obvious career line due to his revival of food culture.
Conclusion
Since this story didn’t really entice me much, I’ll just say…the plot was acceptable, but the execution wasn’t very satisfying for some reason. Oh well, on to the next!
