This is a post-apocalyptic world. MC is an infected cat at the start of the story who goes to die alone, and then gets reincarnated as a two-legged beast (human). It has a fairly interesting world setting I’d say.
MC, ML and their relationship
MC is a cat that has been raised by ML since being picked up. Well actually, they go way beyond that but that’s basically where their memories stop. After MC is reincarnated as a human, he tracks down ML by scent. ML doesn’t really recognise MC, even when MC was in his cat form (well to be fair, MC did cremate his cat himself). ML kinda acts like how he did as an owner once they recognise each other, having a couple of headaches because MC is so un-humanlike at times, and then eventually falls for MC because I guess he’s just his type and they understand each other?
MC pretty much has a cat-like personality and level of knowledge through the entire story. He transitions between his cat form, human form and the classic nekomimi form.
The setting & the plot
I think I understood the setting/plot line but at the same time didn’t. It’s roughly some sort of world where mutations are happening, artificial suns and a bunch of bases and this RS virus thingy happening. Well…I’ll just say it’s complex. There’s a villain and at the end of the story, he’s gone, but I think the other stuff is still kinda happening…
Conclusion
I think the story became a bit confusing halfway through or it picked up speed and I didn’t keep up too well. That being said, it’s overall pretty cohesive with a happy ending.
