Quick transmigration (QT) is one of my favourite topics, but it’s difficult for me to hit all of the right buttons. This one though, definitely hit them!
Overall thoughts
This is pretty much all I want in a QT:
- Happy endings in every world and the couple grows old together
- MC isn’t completely dependent on the ML
- MC isn’t a heartthrob and there isn’t any love triangles/polygons even if some of them are obviously going to be unrequited!
- Not too frustrating because the MC feels too “passive”. I knooooow giving chances and slapping cannon fodder is all the rage, but a super long period where the MC “doesn’t care” is just not it…
Anyway, this one didn’t step on too many landmines. And many of the scenes were seriously cute. Anyway, I was grinning.
The mission
The “mission” of each small world was basically to protect a cannon fodder who died unjustly. This was usually (not always) the younger brother of the body that the MC would transmigrate into. Some were real blood-related younger brothers, but more often they were adopted siblings or super close because they grew up together under various circumstances. Because of the deep bond, they’d usually fight against the real protagonist of the small world which caused their “brother’s” death, and then died in the process. Anyway, it’s a super common setup.
Conclusion
Overall, I liked this one. The couple was cute and it was a long time since I read a QT that hit all my requirements. This is a story that you’ll enjoy more if you turn off your brain though, there’s so much detail that is skimmed over and some stories might leave you thinking…what happened to ___? It’s just a sweet story in the end.
